Product Details
Designed and manufactured by Polyform Norway, the A6 series represents the pinnacle of heavy-duty marine buoy design, offering unmatched strength and maximum buoyancy across varied marine sectors.
The A6 model stands as one of the largest and most robust in the A-series range, making it ideal for demanding marine environments such as offshore platforms, deep-sea moorings, aquaculture facilities, and heavy vessel anchoring operations.
Each A-series buoy, including the A6, is rotationally molded from high-quality, flexible marine-grade vinyl material, ensuring superior durability and performance even under extreme conditions.
With a gross buoyancy of 405 kg and a recommended maximum load of 243 kg, the A6 buoy can comfortably support substantial weights, making it highly reliable for mooring, positioning, and marking applications.
The buoy features a single solid ropehold with an eye diameter of 35 mm, precision-molded for uniform strength and corrosion resistance, ideal for secure shackling and rope fixtures.
At a length of 1120 mm and a diameter of 850 mm, this buoy provides significant surface area and high visibility in rough sea conditions, which is critical for safety and positional accuracy.
Weighing just 11.30 kg, it offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, which allows for easy handling, fast deployment, and recovery by deck crews or aquafarm operators.
The A6 is widely used across multiple maritime industries, including commercial shipping, offshore rig support, fish farming, harbor operations, and emergency marine response.
Notably, the A6 buoy is pressure-rated at a maximum of 0.15–0.20 bar at 20°C; exceeding this threshold may lead to material fatigue or rupture—making correct inflation essential for operational safety.
Thanks to its design flexibility and robust construction, the Polyform A6 can serve either as a standalone marker buoy, a raft support float, or as a deep-water mooring buffer, making it one of the most versatile marine fenders available globally.
